About Me

I am currently a PhD student at the Centre for Microbiome Research in Brisbane, Australia. My academic journey lies at the intersection of biology and informatics, where I aim to integrate experimental and computational approaches to better understand complex biological systems. This interdisciplinary focus allows me to pursue both scientific curiosity and technical innovation in equal measure. I’m driven by a deep commitment to continuous learning and personal development, and I see research as a lifelong process of asking better questions and building more insightful models of the world around us. This website hosts my CV and a blog, where I occasionally share thoughts on research, tools, and ideas I find interesting. You can also explore some of my code and collaborative projects on my GitHub profile.

Research Interests

  • Systems Biology: Metabolic engineering, community modeling, and the computational simulation of biological interactions and dynamics.

  • Microbiology: Investigating how microorganisms drive large-scale ecological and health-related outcomes, with a particular focus on the human microbiome.

  • Metabolomics: Exploring the relationships between genotype, phenotype, and metabolic activity to understand functional outputs at multiple biological scales.

  • Machine Learning: Developing and applying data-driven models for behavior prediction, functional classification, and clinical or biotechnological applications.
